Revelation

Revelation is a genre of writing referred to as Apocalyptic Literature. It was a popular style of literature for only a few hundred years right around the time that the Apostle John penned the words of Revelation. It is full of symbolism and imagery unique to this style of writing and therefore can be difficult for modern man to interpret. Many take what is written very literally and sequentially and read current events into the prophetic statements. We would like to set forth another common understanding of the Book of Revelation, that the cycles described in vivid language are all saying the same thing from different perspectives. Watch this short 12 minute video for an overview of this way of looking at Revelation.

Revelation chapters 1-5 were studied in 2015 taking a different approach than the study below. The earlier study is available by clicking here.
